Artist

What is art? Wikipedia says:

“Art is a diverse range of human activity, and resulting product, that involves creative or imaginative talent expressive of technical proficiency, beauty, emotional power, or conceptual ideas.”

There’s no agreed definition, and I don’t see myself as a “capital-A” artist—more as someone who enjoys exploring artistic expression.

I’m drawn to mixed media. My best work comes on large canvases—bold colors, cutouts, layered effects. The goal? Something decorative at first glance, but full of hidden meaning when you look closer.

I want my art to trigger something beneath the surface—to spark reflection or self-discovery in the viewer.

In digital art, I combine my texts with images, creating “TxTArt Tiles”—eye-catching, Instagram-sized designs where the text is central. I use images from Pixabay.com, grateful to the artists who share their work. Some tiles are colorful; others are black and white for a more contemplative mood.

In 2020–21, I created a series using profile photos of Nepali youths found on Facebook. Their faces inspired some of my most beautiful texts, reflecting the inner beauty and purity of their culture.

I’m grateful to the brave Nepali youths who let me use their pictures for these creations!

In the future, I hope to experiment more with mixed media—maybe on wood, using metal, fabric, or stone, always combining with my own written material.
